ABOUT AVGE

Welcome to Brown X RISD's Anime Video Game Ensemble, also known as AVGE!

We are a student-led, student-run ensemble that plays and arranges songs from the typically underappreciated genres of anime and video games. Some well-known songs that we’ve played include Merry-Go-Round of Life, as featured in Howl’s Moving Castle, Fountain of Dreams from Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Duet from Omori.

Brown AVGE was founded in the spring of 2022 by a small group of friends who shared a passion for music, anime, and video games. Currently, our ensemble comprises over 80 talented musicians from Brown University and RISD who participate as soloists, small ensemble members, arrangers, and large ensemble members.
